FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Dec. 5, 2023

YWCA Minneapolis President and CEO Shelley Carthen Watson among Twin Cities Business 100 for 2024

Minneapolis: Every year, the editors of Twin Cities Business (TCB) make a list of the people in and around Minnesota likely to make news and drive change in the year ahead. The TCB 100 list for 2024 includes CEOs, founders, philanthropists, government officials and innovators from across the state in many industries. YWCA Minneapolis President and CEO Shelley Carthen Watson is among the honorees.

“On behalf of the board of directors, I congratulate Shelley on this tremendous honor,” said Carissa Rollins, YWCA Minneapolis Board Chair and Chief Information Officer at Illumina. “Leading through change takes courage and conviction, and 2024 will be a critical year for us. Under Shelley’s leadership, we look forward to building on our 132-year history and leaning into our mission-driven work.”

The names were revealed at the Person of the Year and TCB 100 event Monday evening, Dec. 4, at the Metropolitan Ballroom. TCB is honoring Beth Wozniak, CEO and chair of nVent, as its 2023 Person of the Year for leading the manufacturer to over $3 billion in sales this year and prioritizing sustainability and innovation while building a diverse team. The TCB 100 list is featured in the December 2023/January 2024 issue of Twin Cities Business, which comes out after the Dec. 4 event. The list will also be released online at tcbmag.com following the event, along with a reveal video featuring candid messages about leadership and plans for the year ahead from those on the list.
